Engine Block Morgan 4/4 1970-1982

The legendary Formula Ford Kent block has been remanufactured by Fords using an all new grey iron casting that is stronger than the original.

Specifications include:

• Standard 8.200” deck height with extra material allowing decking if required
• Cylinder bores semi-finished to 3.186” to allow the engine to be built to desired clearances
• Tappet bore diameter .565”
• Block cast from 40,000 PSI grey iron
• Lower bell housing bolt bosses reinforced
• Selected areas around main bearing webs strengthened
• Centre main is machined to accept upper and lower crankshaft thrust washers (SOHC Pinto type)
• Includes cam bearings
