Fuel Line Pressure Relief Kit for Carburetor Equipped Cars without a Fuel Return Line.
A poor hot start can be the result of pressure building up in the fuel feed line of a carburetor equipped car, causing the carburetor to flood during hot soaking or starting.
Some manufacturers addressed this problem by installing a fuel return line into the tank, but this is a cumbersome solution for owners of cars without this feature as it involves making irreversible modifications to the car; however, our company has the answer.
Webcon's Fuel Line Pressure Relief Kit provides an extra fuel hose, clips, and two T-pieces, one valved and one unvalved, to install a bypass loop in the feed pipe to bleed off excess pressure built up from the system.
Installation simply involves cutting the fuel feed pipe before and after the fuel pump and inserting the bypass hose through the T-pieces. Solving a hot start problem really is that simple. The kit contains a length of fuel hose, six hose clamps and two T-pieces. The kit is available with either 8mm ID hose (part HSK001) or 6mm ID hose (part HSK002). Both are sold separately and availability and pricing can be consulted with our sales department.
